Steven W. Laidacker Steven W. Laidacker – Executive Director
Steve Laidacker is the Executive Director of Sequel Youth and Family Services’ Lakeside Academy campus. Throughout his career Laidacker has worked with at-risk youth in residential treatment and alternative education. He began as a childcare worker at St. Michael’s School in Hoban Heights Pennsylvania. While at St. Michael’s he became a trainer in a variety of curriculums. Laidacker has trained and consulted coast to coast spending extensive time at Juvenile Probation Departments in Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Alameda County, Louisiana, Georgia, the California Department of Juvenile Justice as well as treatment centers such as Shiloh (outside of Houston Texas), Adelphoi Village (Latrobe PA), Cornell Abraxas and KidsPeace.

Laidacker has a doctoral degree in education and has held a variety of positions including; Director of the Madisonville Campus of Friendship House, Director of the Alternative Learning Center (ALC) in Luzerne County and the Director of Educational Programming at the University of Pennsylvania. 1 Erin Newton - Director of Human Resources & IT
Erin Newton has worked on the Lakeside campus since 2002. She started working for Lakeside for Children in the front office and as a member of the Training Department. In 2004 she became the IT administrator and in 2006 began working in the Human Resources Department. Erin joined the Lakeside Academy team when it opened in June of 2007 and serves as the Director of Human Resources and IT. She attended the University of Iowa and Western Michigan University studying English and Journalism. When not at Lakeside, Erin enjoys taking family trips with her husband and three children. Being a native of Kalamazoo, Erin is very dedicated to Lakeside’s over 100 year history. erin.newton@sequelyouthservices.com
   
Jon St. Pierre Brad Hodge – Director of Group Living
Brad started his career at Lakeside Academy as an Overnight Youth Counselor in June of 2008. Soon after his two year anniversary, he had worked his way up to a Program Director position. He worked as a PD before being promoted to Director of Group Living in April of 2013. Before working at Lakeside, Brad spent three years in the United States Army as a Parachute Rigger. Once he left the Army, he went back to school. It was while working as a Pharmacy Technician, where he was recruited by a staff member to work at Lakeside.

When not at Lakeside, Brad loves spending time with his wife, Julie, and their two sons. He also enjoys coaching youth football and basketball and spending time traveling the state with his sons’ travel sports teams. bradley.hodge@sequelyouthservices.com
   
Dan Stacer Dan Stacer – Controller
Dan began working at Lakeside, as the Controller, in December 2007. He heads up the Accounting/Finance Department, which includes an Accounting Clerk. Prior to joining Lakeside, Dan has worked 17 years in Banking and 6 years in accounting as a Financial Turn-Around Consultant and as a Controller for a construction company. Dan received his Bachelors of Science, in Accounting, at Oakland University, in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In his spare time, Dan spends his time with his wife and four sons, taking camping trips, spending time with family and friends, and small renovation/improvement projects around the home. Dan recently has gotten more involved in his sons Boy Scout meetings/activities, sporting events, and is looking to start target shooting with his two older sons. Dan and his family moved from Rochester Hills to Kalamazoo and believe that this was the best move that they made. daniel.stacer@sequelyouthservices.com
